Matte painting for online competition on CG Channel - March 2012 - King Kong.
Plate was provided and the subject was the Temple of Kong.
I have created a fairly simple 3d model in 3d Max which was rendered with VRay and then textured in PS. Also the foreground 3d trees are rendered in order to achieve accurate lighting in the scene. Enjoy!
